Dev Sinclair is so excited to be hosting a cupcake contest in her five-and-dime store. Kizzy Cutler is a well known chef who returns to her hometown to launch a new line cupcakes. With everyone doing their best, this launch could bring a lot of tourism dollars to Shadow Bend and bring Dev closer to being in the black.

When Kizzy breezes into town she manages to offend just about everyone immediately but the show must go on. When her assistant dies, Dev will have to step in and use her investigative talents to prevent another death. There have been several attempts on Kizzy's life.
