A LOVER'S VOW is book three in the Grangers series.
This is the
story of youngest of the Granger brothers, business mogul
Dalton Granger.
When Dalton and his brothers were summoned to their ill
grandfather's bedside, they made a promise to him that
they
would find out who murdered their mother Sylvia Granger
and
free their father Sheppard from prison. Even though they
have received numerous threats to their lives they will
not
give up until they have freed their father.
Jules Bradford is a private investigator who is determined
to prove Sheppard's innocence. She knows all about
Dalton's bad boy ways and has no interest in getting
involved with him. But she is willing to work with him to
free his father.
Once Jules and Dalton start working together she discovers
there is more to Dalton than she originally thought.
Their
working relationship develops in to much more.
I would recommend that you read this series in order,
because each book leads up to a new revelation.
I think out of the three Grangers I like Dalton's story
the
most. There is a vulnerability to Dalton from his
childhood because of something that he saw that causes him
to feel some guilt. These three young men had vowed to
never return home because of how they were treated when
their father was wrongly committed for a crime he did not
commit. But because they made a promise, they honored it
and followed through. They stuck together no matter what
and came through for their father with a very happy
ending.
When Sylvia's murder is finally solved there are some
surprising secrets revealed.
Ms. Jackson is a great story teller. If you have not read
any of her books I suggest this series as well as her
Westmoreland, Steele and Madaris Series. Her characters
are strong and determined individuals that will keep you
entertained.
