Romance Historical

Gianelle may have been born a slave, but that doesn't mean she intends to live out her life in situations of ill treatment and abuse at the hands of men. She and her friend plan an escape from their master, Lord Bryce Dermott, but are discovered by an emissary of the king who's visiting, Lord Dante Risande. Dante is intrigued by many things about this slave girl, not the least of which is her power to resist what no other woman has ever resisted; his extraordinary looks and incredible charm.

After Gianelle's attempt to escape, Bryce Dermott is found dead and Edgar, Bryce's brother, accuses Gianelle of murder. Since Dante knows the Dermotts' reputations for evil and suspects them of being involved somehow in his sister's death, Dante uses his authority as emissary to take Gianelle and her friend away until matters can be investigated. His mission to find his sister's killer and exonerate Gianelle will take time, but he's determined to see the tasks completed. He also hopes that time will prove to Gianelle that not all men act like depraved animals and that there can be kindness and gentleness between a man and a woman. But Gianelle wants no relationship with any man, especially a man like Dante, who's slowly melting her heart and winning her love.

Set in 1071 England, this medieval romance will touch the hearts of those partial to historicals of this period. The heroine has the perfect motivation to be wary of the hero, yet little by little her defenses are broken. The hero has all the characteristics necessary, including patience, to sweep the heroine off her feet and enjoy the chase. Attention to detail, story pacing and perfect rhythmic writing style make this a great second book for a new author who's undoubtedly destined for continued success.

SUMMARY

EVERY WOMAN’S DESIRE

Norman lord Dante Risande never met a woman he couldn’t seduce...until a lovely slave named Gianelle refuses his bed and piques his interest. So when she’s accused of murder, he can’t sit idly by. As the King’s right hand, it’s his duty to investigate. But in order to save her, he must buy her.

NO MAN’S POSSESSION

A slave all her life, Gianelle wants nothing to do with men. Especially this silver-eyed, velvet tongued warrior. What she wants is her freedom, not to become another of Dante’s conquests. But as the only suspect in the killing of her last master, she has no choice except to put her faith in Dante...a man who questions everything, including her innocence.
