Fiction

ONE STEP TOO FAR is a roller coaster novel revealing an intriguing story of twin sisters Emily and Caroline.

Emily is on a train headed away from her husband and son. She is running away, having meticulously planned her escape, She is seeking anonymity and a whole new life for herself in London. Why is running away? Well author Tina Seskis does a great job at keeping the reader guessing while story unfolds.

Broken up into three parts and written in both the present tense with flashbacks taking the readers travels through Emily's life. From her birth into her childhood, then dealing with her difficult twin Caroline. Meeting her husband, Ben to the birth of their adorable son Daniel. Even the tragic event that has led her to seek a new life and identity as Cat in London, where she eventually becomes the total opposite of the person she was....and not in a good way.

As the first anniversary of the day that changed everything, Emily can feel the last bit of her control spiraling out down to rock bottom. Waking up next to a dead man, lands her some serious trouble, but its the man that bails her out that she really owes an explanation to.

ONE STEP TOO FAR is nothing that I expected it to be. I knew something had happened, but when everything is revealed, I was taken completely by surprise. And that is a hard thing to do in a book without the reader finding out beforehand. I absolutely loved the characters. Each character was at a different stage of their life, each coming from brutal, unforgiving pasts. Tina Seskis writes their pasts beautifully that translates well to her readers.

Tina Seskis is a new author for me, and if her writing style and story line in One Step Too Far is any indication of what will follow from Seskis, then I will certainly be adding her to my list of must read authors.
