Piper can't get into the excitement flying around
Cloverdale about the Italian soccer team coming to town.
But she won't be passing up the opportunity to be part of
the events.
When the soccer team arrives, not everyone is excited to
see Raffaele Conti, the team manager. Conti spent a year
in Cloverdale in high school and managed to make more
than a few enemies. One of them is Piper's dill
supplier, Gerald Standley. Standley is also one of the
biggest supporter of the Cloverdale All Stars.
When Conti is found dead, Piper is asked by several
people to help find the killer. Afraid of losing the
fresh dill her provides and believing in Gerald's
innocence, Piper sets out to find the truth.
The more she learns about Conti, the clearer it is why
someone wanted him dead. He was a despicable character
who left people damaged in his wake.
The identity of the killer is a surprise and leaves the
readers a little sad as they learn the motive. Fans will
love the recipes as well as the mystery.
