Ridley once thought she fell for the guy who left her years ago, Garrett, but now she is determined to find someone who is actually right for her, namely his twin brother Will. When a night of planned seduction for Will leaves her in a compromising position with the wrong twin, she does everything she can to get Garrett out of her head again. Garrett, knowing he should keep Ridley in his past, can't resist being with her again. If they truly want to have a future, they will have to face the past they keep shutting out.
MISTAKEN BY FATE is another sizzling story revolving around Serve, a night club with floors for those with a particular taste for BDSM. With the previous two novels authored by Tessa Bailey, Katee Robert takes her turn in this installment and introduces Ridley and Garrett. From the beginning, Robert blows readers away with her excellent grasp on the world of Serve while still injecting her own powerful authorial voice to the story.
Though the story has two strong leads, Garrett easily captures special attention with his family history. He proves that no one can run from the scars the past leaves, and that to be truly happy, those scars often must be faced. His growth as a character is absolutely beautiful, and readers will have no trouble desperately wanting a happy ending for him and Ridley. Ridley, bringing her serious nerves for her career into the story, brings a nice balance to his past issues with her own present ones.
For fans of this series, MISTAKEN BY FATE makes a lovely addition which readers should want to grab as soon as possible. Katee Robert does a marvelous job of creating memorable characters and a story that keeps you turning the pages until the very end.
