Fifteen years ago, a young Genevieve Haywood, left France
to care for her
father who was ill. She left behind her heart with Roman
Duchaine, an
aspiring fashion designer, whom she believed loved her as
much as she
loved him. But when he replaced her with someone new
almost
immediately, it left her shattered, and Genevieve is
forced to suffer a
tragedy alone, broken and destroyed.
Back in the present and we find Genevieve and her BFF
Daniel, arriving in
France, to celebrate Genevieve's cousin's wedding. Having
created an
independent and satisfying career working in a bakery, she
longs to open
her own specialist cake business back home in Atlanta.
Spending time in
France ultimately leads her to think of Roman, the man she
loved, who let
her down. When she is thrown face to face with him - he is
the groom's
cousin, and the dress designer for the wedding - she is
confused by his
obvious anger towards her. As their attraction sparks to
life again, they
learn that they had been cruelly ripped apart all those
years ago by a third
party who wanted Roman for herself. Roman has always loved
Genevieve
and is now ready for them to start a life and a family
together. But
Genevieve doesn't believe that she can exist in the
limelight of his celebrity,
and is terrified of losing the independence that she
fought so hard to
create. If their relationship didn't work out, she knows,
that this time she
would not survive. Can Roman prove to her that she always
was and
always will be the one he loves? And how will he react
when he learns of
the horrific ordeal Genevieve suffered all those years
ago?
LOVE REDESIGNED by Sloane B. Collins is an enjoyable story
of passion,
heartbreak and finding the courage for a second chance.
Genevieve has
gone through so much and has become a strong, self reliant
person,
because of what has happened to her. Roman is sexy,
persistent and open
with his feelings for Genevieve, and I loved him
instantly. The fact that they
were kept apart all those years ago, and the sad
consequences of their
separation, adds a heartbreaking element to their love
story, that made me
tear up.
LOVE REDESIGNED by Sloane B. Collins is a beautiful,
romantic,
heartfelt story and I look forward to reading more from
this author.
