Mist always believed she was a Valkyrie so discovering she
is the daughter of Freya and a powerful God herself has
caused her many problems. Mist, her elf friend Danni and
others have been trying hard to find all the other
Valkyries and the treasures they possess to stop Loki from
taking over earth. Loki has plans for the planet and they
are not ones humans will enjoy.
While Loki tries to gather an army from the void, Mist is
trying to build one on earth. People begin to join Mist
sensing that a battle for earth may be coming soon. Both
Mist and Loki search for the other missing Valkyrie, but
little does Mist know she has a traitor among her group.
BLACK ICE is an exciting concept bringing the Norse Gods
to
San Francisco. BLACK ICE is a action packed unban fantasy.
As you delve into the story and live past and present
lives
of the characters you are drawn into their pain. It is
written in a way that you understand what they are doing
and why even if you don't always agree with them.
Mist is so driven to save humanity and Loki is only driven
by his selfish greed as is Freya. There is no doubt that
you will root for them to win in the second book of the
series, Midgard. Though BLACK ICE is the second book it
can be
read as a standalone, but you might enjoy getting more
background by reading the first. There should be many
more
great stories to come in the series by Susan Kinard.
