Romance Suspense

Enter the fast-paced, dangerous world of Special Agent Alexander Malcolm. After spending three years infiltrating the notorious 3 Star Killers gang, Alex finds himself on the run. His undercover operation has been blown to pieces, with many of his fellow agents being mercilessly gunned down. Realising that he has been betrayed by a double agent, who is after him, Alex grabs gang member Tony, who has been shot, and makes a speedy getaway. Needing Tony to live so he can give him the name of the traitor, Alex must find medical help. Dr. Jillian Mahoney has finished her shift, and is cutting across the car park during a snowstorm, when she is approached by Alex. He doesn't have time to explain what is happening, so he kidnaps her to help fix Tony. Terrified that she is going to be murdered, her sense of healing takes over when she sees the young man lying in his own blood. Alex understands that he has dragged her into the middle of his mess but he needs her, in more ways than he realises. Explaining everything to Jillian, a bond begins to grow between the two of them, and it is not long before a sizzling attraction becomes obvious. With gangbangers chasing them, a double agent determined to get their revenge, and a horrible secret between them, will Jillian and Alex be able to survive the storm and it's aftermath? LETHAL LIES by Lara Lacombe is a thrilling novel full of intrigue, attraction and suspense. Thrown into the fast paced storyline from the beginning, the characters jumped off the page and I could not wait to find out what would happen next. Alex is sexy, caring, brave and strong - everything a girl loves in a hero. Jillian is clever, self-assured, attractive and determined and I found her really likeable. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. With many twists and turns, I found this romantic suspense gripping and seductive, so I had to read it in one sitting! LETHAL LIES is excellent all round.
