When Eliza Ballas visited a thriving BDSM club with her friend for an article, she is shocked by the overwhelming desire she feels to join in. She even meets a man she wouldn't mind going up the floor levels with, but the problem is she has no idea what she's doing. Her friend's brother, Oliver, also frequents the club, and he's known her for a long time, long enough to know she needs a good education before throwing herself head first into that lifestyle. They agree on three lessons, but what they don't expect is when a feeling awfully close to love starts growing between them.
EXPOSED BY FATE continues into the world of a New York BDSM club, this time focusing on Eliza Ballas. Any fans of the 'best friend's brother' trope will have a field day with this delicious story from Tessa Bailey. With each lesson, Oliver and Eliza nearly catch their chapters on fire with how much heat they give off. But at the same time, they slowly experience so many sweet and kind moments between each other. Oliver's character development is especially nice as he starts to figure out he may have found the woman he wants to settle down with.
Though the focus is primarily on Eliza and Oliver, the inclusion of characters from the first book like Caroline and Jonah is lovely. Readers get a little pick at what they are up to while still getting the enjoyment of another couple's journey.
Pretty much every Tessa Bailey novel makes me hope for more and EXPOSED BY FATE is no exception. I loved this novel, and I really hope to see more in this series. Readers desiring a steamy romance with strong and heartwarming characters should look no further than EXPOSED BY FATE.
