Clove Penmire, an Australian stunt woman has been corresponding by email with Archer Jefferson and while online, she may come across as beautiful and exciting, only she knows the truth. However, when Clove's sister finds out that she can't have children and that her marriage may soon be over because of this, Clove hatches a plan of her own. Her plan would include finding a good specimen, getting pregnant and saving her sister's marriage by giving her a child. However she just happens to forget to tell Archer that she is on her way to Texas or that she plans to lose her virginity and become pregnant before she comes home.

It's not very often that Archer meets two interesting women in one week! One who is just a bit plain and who seems to hide behind her huge eyeglasses and another who is one hot bombshell that ends up rocking and rolling with him in the bed of his truck! He soon discovers that not only are his two mystery women one in the same but that she's actually his buddy Clove from Australia. The surprise isn't over yet however when he discovers what her plan was and that it worked times three!

Clove certainly hadn't expected Archer to find out her secret baby-making plan and once he does, he isn't having any parts of her returning home with his children!

Anyone who wasn't already a fan of Leonard's Cowboys By The Dozen series certainly will be by the time they finish the last page of this newest addition to the series. I was a bit concerned in the beginning that I wouldn't care for Clove's secret plans to impregnate herself by someone she called a friend however Leonard had a way of turning the situation into a comical but tender love story that captured this readers heart. As I'm pretty sure, I haven't read all of the books in this compilation yet; I'll be adding more Leonard titles to my wish list soon.
