Jenny Carpenter just purchased Jonquil House in the hopes
of turning it into a bed and breakfast. Gabriel Raintree is
a famous horror writer and former owner that suffered a
horrible heartache at that house several years before. When
Gabriel runs into writers block he decides that Jonquil
House is the perfect place to hide from his editor and
fans. The only problem is that it is not open yet. Jenny
lets Gabriel stay but soon strange things start to happen.
Things that neither can explain.
Several years ago Gabriel's brother Luke was shot in a
hunting accident. Even though Gabriel was with him at the
time he has no memory as to what happened that day. Now
both Jenny and Gabriel believe that Luke's ghost is trapped
in the house. Zeph, the town carpenter is trying to
convince Jenny to get rid of the house but will not tell
them why exactly. In order for Gabriel help Luke to go over
to the other side completely, he needs to find out what
happened all those years before. Can Gabriel find out what
happened to Luke? What is Zeph hiding?
INN AT LAST CHANCE is the seventh book in Hope Ramsay's
Last Chance series. I absolutely love this series.
Every time I pick one up I know I am in for a treat. I love
the little town that Hope Ramsay has created. The
characters are amazing and don't just go away when their
books are over. Each character shows up in all of the
books in the series, even if it is just a cameo. INN AT LAST
CHANCE is a little darker than the past books in the series,
but it is still a knock-out. There are many twist and turns
that will keep the reader hooked and dying to find out what
happens next. INN AT LAST CHANCE is another great addition
to the Last Chance series! I can't wait to see what
is next in store!
Jenny Carpenter is the unrivaled pie-baking champion of Last
Chance, South Carolina's annual Watermelon Festival and the
town's unofficial spinster. With her dream of marriage and
children on hold, she focuses on another dream, turning the
local haunted house into a charming bed-and-breakfast. But
her plans go off course when the home's former owner shows
up on her doorstep on a dark and stormy night . . .
Mega-bestselling horror writer Gabriel Raintree is as
mysterious and tortured as his heroes. His family's
long-deserted mansion is just the inspiration he needs to
finish his latest twisted tale, or so he thinks until he
learns it's been sold. The new innkeeper proves to be as
determined as she is kind, and soon Gabriel finds himself a
paying guest in his own home. As Jenny and Gabe bring new
passion to the old house, can she convince him to leave the
ghosts of his past behind-and make Last Chance their first
choice for a future together?
