Romance Contemporary

Quint McCoy, successful realtor in Kalispell, Montana, walked away from his business and his wife following the death of his father and ended up in Alaska fishing for four weeks. Needless to say, when he did return, a lot of things have changed, and Quint feels like he is living in The Twilight Zone with Rod Serling orchestrating his life. Quint finds that his real estate office is now The Big Sky Pie and Café, and, Quint's wife, Callee, has put their home on the market and has filed for a divorce.

Molly McCoy, Quint's mother, is a first-class, blue-ribbon pie maker, and she has wanted her own business for years but put her family first. The shop is scheduled to be opened within a few days after Quint's return. When Molly has a heart attack, Callee puts her moving plans on hold and promises Molly she will help get the shop open. Molly makes Quint promise he will help Callee bake pies, knowing that Callee can't boil water properly, much less bake.

Quint has a secret that he is forced to share with Callee and makes her swear she will not tell anyone. In the event that a fill-in for Molly can't be found, his mother taught him to make pies as good as hers! But Callee does have to stay in town so Molly won't get distressed. Molly needs surgery when she is strong enough, and the sooner that happens, the better for her.

Quint and Callee admit they are still in love, but their reuniting isn't a foregone conclusion. Quint is going to have to mend a lot of fences, and eat a lot of crow to get his wife back.

DELECTABLE is the inauguration of a mature, entertaining Big Sky Pie series by Adrianne Lee. Quint has two single best friends, Nick and Wade who will be introduced in future tales. Andrea, a single mom with two little boys, did work for Quint, but now works for Molly, and she has a story coming up in a couple of months. Jane Wilson, pie maker extraordinaire and life saver, has her story next month. The core characters, Quint, Callee, and Molly are strong, intelligent and clever people. Adrianne Lee has introduced us to wonderful people in a beautiful setting, and provides a strong narrative. DELECTABLE is replete with love and laughter; angst and happiness; and pure entertainment. What more could a reader want?

SUMMARY

Montana real estate agent Quint McCoy will tell you that the most important thing is location, location, location. It's a lesson he learns all too well when he goes incommunicado for a four-week fishing trip to Alaska. While he's away, his mother Molly turns his office into the pie shop she has always dreamed of, Big Sky Pie. But that's not the only surprise in store for him.

On her way out of town, Callee McCoy only wants to say a fond farewell to her beloved mother-in-law. But Molly soon persuades Callee to stay and lend a hand at the new shop, even if it means heating up the kitchen with her soon-to-be ex. As Callee and Quint rediscover their recipe for love, they realize that some couples are so sinfully good together that one delectable taste is never enough . . .
