Though Kayla Moriarity loves her sister, she is not looking
forward to going to her wedding. She knows it will just be
another excuse for her family to ask about her love life,
and not to mention the plane ride itself she will have to
take to get there. While waiting to board, sexy military man
Cooper Shillings is ready to do whatever it takes to help
her nerves...especially if that means using certain
distracting methods. What neither are prepared for is what
one plane ride can do to them. What happens when the plane
lands, and they don't want to leave each other just yet?
TEMPORARILY YOURS by Jen McLaughlin, who is writing as Diane
Alberts, is a fun, sexy, and quick read for anyone who loves
a good romance with sharp, funny dialogue. McLaughlin gives
Kayla and Cooper hilarious and serious moments throughout
the book, and the sparks from their chemistry is nearly
tangible. I love how both characters are so strong
independently, but they show a different kind of strength
when they are together. It makes them a very believable and
enjoyable couple to read about. It doesn't hurt at all how
delicious McLaughlin describes Cooper, and the romantic
tension will make you blush more than once.
What I especially like about TEMPORARILY YOURS is the little
details it has in it. The book isn't very long, just around
200 pages, but the detail on every page is full of
surprising little things that help create a bigger picture,
but the details never drags or halts the flow of the
dialogue.
If you enjoy any sort of contemporary adult romance like
those of Rachel Harris, then TEMPORARILY YOURS is a great
pick. The story flies by but leaves you with a feeling of
just having been told a realistic, touching story with
strong characters and a healthy dose of fun.
