In the oddly intriguing erotic short story RUN TO YOU,
Alissa is just your everyday middle-class working girl in
England. She finds the surprising and fascinating diary of
her friend Lucy, along with a list of her sexual
assignations. Curious, Alissa goes to the Harrington Hotel
to find out for herself what Lucy found so delicious in
these wicked rendezvous. What Alissa finds is the
sophisticated Janos Kovacs, an uber-rich Hungarian
businessman who takes quite the interest in her, both
sexually and personally.
The first part of RUN TO YOU is all about how Janos leads
Alissa into his sexual world and his particular kinky
needs. Janos seems to know what she is thinking, and all
her wicked feelings, even though she cannot express her
desires to him verbally. He makes her feel desirable, even
when she is not so sure of herself. He understands her
needs better than she understands them herself, and
stretches her limits further than she ever imagined
possible. Janos is darkly seductive, talks dirty to her,
and plays deliciously sexy mind games with her. He opens up
a sexuality in her that she didn't know she possessed.
RUN TO YOU really opens up and takes off in the second
half. Janos has taken Alissa only so far in each session,
and keeps himself in tight control. Eventually, however;
Alissa starts breaking down his emotional barriers and self-
control. His loss of control when it comes to Alissa is a
beautiful thing to read and see unfold. What is darkly
erotic during their sessions becomes a sensual blaze when
it turns into lovemaking. They are leaving the
assignations behind and treading the edge of an emotional
relationship, a place Janos is not sure he is capable of
going.
RUN TO YOU is a lovely little tale about finding the one
person in life who totally understands and can
completely 'undo' us; and the compromises we make for the
one we love. As with all Charlotte Stein stories, the
prose is formal and a bit stilted, and takes a bit of
getting used to. This is a writing trait of the author,
but the underlying story more than makes up for that slight
annoyance. Charlotte Stein has really outdone herself with
this compelling sensual short story. RUN TO YOU works well
as both a erotically charged tale of forbidden assignations
and breaking down emotional barriers; and also as a tender,
emotional love story.

someone like her, and he's into the kind of things she's not
sure she can do.Janos Kovacs has spent so long indulging in
emotion-less dalliances that he's forgotten what real
passion is. But the more time he spends with Alissa, the
less control he has over himself. By the time he's finished
teaching how deliciously naughty sex can be, he might be the
one learning the lessons
