Romance Historical

Colt Fraser is on his way to California to meet up with his two brothers and sister. In the stagecoach with him is an intriguing woman named Cassie Braden. In Virginia, a woman never wears pants, but they sure look good hugging Cassie's hips and long legs. She's a beauty and Colt is definitely interested.

About 100 miles outside of Santa Fe, a gang of outlaws descends on their stagecoach. As Colt shoves Cassie out of the line of fire, he feels the sting of a bullet in his shoulder. Colt is taken to Arena Roja, the closest town, Cassie's destination and the place where her father is sheriff. Because of his bravery and the good chance the outlaws will return to claim the money they left behind, Colt accepts the job of deputy sheriff, but just until the next stagecoach arrives going to Santa Fe.

Cassie may be promised to a man she's been waiting five years for, but that doesn't stop the sparks from igniting between her and Colt. There are also three adorable children who've stolen Cassie's heart and are working their magic on Colt. When the outlaws return and threaten the lives of the people Colt has grown to love, the action is heart-stopping. So is the realization of what matters most in all of their lives.

THE LAWMAN SAID "I DO" is an absolutely delightful story that you wish would never end. The dialogue is priceless; the characters brim with humanity. Chock-full of conflicts, intense emotions and tender passions, this book warms your heart and tickles your funny bone. Thank goodness there are more Frasers. Don't miss this wonderful story.

SUMMARY

When outlaws attack Cassie Braden's stagecoach, she's grateful to Colt Fraser for saving her. But she's certainly not attracted to the rugged, handsome stranger -- after all, he's just passing through, and she's turned down plenty of traveling cowboys before. So why do sparks fly every time they're together?

Colt is on his way to California to seek his fortune, but his bravery wins him the post of deputy sheriff in Cassie's sleepy town. Though he's not interested in settling down, he needs the cash -- and why not indulge a harmless flirtation with the sheriff's firecracker of a daughter before continuing westward?

Yet when new dangers threaten, the forces keeping Cassie and Colt apart begin to lose their battle against desire too powerful to resist...and a love too big to ignore.
