Young Adult Science Fiction
Looking for a Young Adult read that has action, suspense and
an undying love that transcends evil? ORIGIN has all this
and more!
Jennifer L. Armentrout presents readers with book four in
the Lux series. She doesn't pull any punches and hits
hard
with the most thrilling and exciting instalment yet! ORIGIN
picks up exactly where the last book left off where Katy is
in the hands of their greatest enemy, leaving Daemon pissed
off and looking to do anything to save her.
In this book, readers are gifted with Daemon's POV, a first
in the series. I found that reading his POV added another
dimension to the storyline, creating depth and insight to
his character while also making him the heartthrob of the
century with his possessiveness and determination concerning
Katy.
Similarly, Katy shows off her strength as a tough heroine as
she faces off the Arum. I enjoyed seeing this side of her.
It reminded me of the earlier books where she kept her guard
up for Daemon. This time, she faces greater danger and must
stand up to the Arum.
However, perhaps the best thing about ORIGIBN is
Armentrout's writing. Her voice fits Paranormal Young Adult
very well. It almost feels effortless as she describes
emotions and actions, as if she is the character itself. As
a result, readers feel as if they are the characters,
becoming wholly submerged until they finally realize that
they have devoured the whole book and want more.
If you enjoyed the series to date, then be prepared for
another wild ride. ORIGIN will takes readers into a whole
other world with its aliens and worldbuilding!

SUMMARY
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather,
he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything
becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in
his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her?
Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure. All Katy can do is survive. Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this
is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that
don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are
frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing.
Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen? Together, they can face anything. But the most
dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths
are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side
will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be
together?
