In SKIN IN THE GAME Angela Peterson is the high school math
teacher and also the co-football coach, she has always been
shy and quiet. As a teenager she had a major crush on the
high school quarterback. Cade Reynolds has come home to
Harper Falls after being injured in the NFL. After a night
together with basically not knowing who Angela really is he
runs into her when he has been asked to take over for the
sickly head football coach.
SKIN IN THE GAME is a great read and a great book, after
Angela and Cade basically have a one night stand after
meeting in a coffee shop, she knows exactly who he is but
he has no idea who she really is. When he is asked to take
over for the sickly head football coach Angela starts
imaging the worst and thinking he's really here to take her
job. Cade really doesn't want the job but he does want to
help Angela and perfect her coaching skills so that she can
get the head football coaching job she has always wanted.
This book is filled with sweet and loving moments from Cade,
he is so sweet to Angela and is always trying to prove he's
not after her job but that he just wants to help but Angela
of course doesn't believe him.
If you had a crush on your high school football team's
quarterback you will love SKIN IN THE GAME.
Angela Peterson was always the quiet, shy kid growing up in
Harper Falls, crushing on the high school quarterback and
honing her football strategy skills. Now grown up and
coaching the high school team, she’s shocked when that same
sexy quarterback returns to Harper Falls asks her back to
his hotel room. And then tries to steal her job.
Injured NFL quarterback Cade Reynolds is in Harper Falls to
take over as interim head coach, and he never thought the
tall, blond bombshell he propositioned would offer up any
resistance. Not to a repeat of the amazingly wild night they
shared and certainly not to his coaching position.
But the Harper Falls High Eagles are Angie’s team, and even
the hometown hero won’t take that away from her, no matter
how hot he is. As the two engage in a battle of wits and
wills, this is one game neither is prepared to lose.
