Young Adult

In DANGEROUS GIRLS for Anna, her boyfriend Tate and her best friend Elise its spring break and it could either be the best trip of their lives or the worst one ever. When Elise disappears and the authority's start looking at Anna, it's up to her and her only to prove her innocence. Ever since her best friend, Elise's death, Anna is stranded on a foreign country battling for her freedom against a murder that she clearly could not commit. Complex does not even begin to cover Anna's personality. She's a highly sophisticated and a little over annoying at time.

I really enjoyed this book but struggled with it a bit. It remained me a lot of the Natalee Holloway case and I just don't see a lot of difference between the two. I went back and forth with liking the character of Anna, I understood her fear and anger and how mad she was that her best friend was just killed and her she is being accused. I felt like the main theme of this book was fear because what else are you supposed to feel when you are in another country that you know nothing about and you have been accused of killing your best friend. The character that intrigues me the most is Anna's boyfriend Tate, I felt like he was lying or just really sly and up to no good, and it really worked into this story.

I really enjoyed the plot and the story line to this story, it was very deep and intense. I love how we got a look into police investigations that was really cool. I really enjoyed DANGEROUS GIRLS and I would recommend this to any one who likes crime novels.

SUMMARY

Paradise quickly gets gruesome in this thrilling page-turner with a plot that's ripped from the headlines and a twist that defies the imagination.

It's Spring Break of senior year. Anna, her boyfriend Tate, her best friend Elise, and a few other close friends are off to a debaucherous trip to Aruba that promises to be the time of their lives.

But when Elise is found brutally murdered, Anna finds herself trapped in a country not her own, fighting against vile and contemptuous accusations. As Anna sets out to find her friends killer, she discovers harsh revelations about her friendships, the slippery nature of truth, and the ache of young love.

Awaiting the judge's decree, it becomes clear to Anna that everyone around her thinks she is not only guilty, but also dangerous. And when the whole story comes out, reality is more shocking than anyone ever imagined...
