Romance Contemporary | Novella / Short Story

After finding out her boyfriend of three years has been a womanizing playboy she falls into the arms of comfort and has mind- blowing sex with her step-brother, two days before she leaves to study abroad in Rome. Trent Sorenson has been Lexie Banks best friend for years. He knows her better than anybody else and knows all her secrets. Will one night of passion kill their friendship or turn into something more?

In A LITTLE TOO FAR Lexie's life is basically a mess. In the span of three days she finds out that her boyfriend is a cheater, she sleeps with her step brother, leaves for Rome to study abroad where she meets Alessandro Moretti, a deacon none the less and tries to have feelings for him.

This book had so many world wind moments in it and I got a little lost. I really enjoyed this book but didn't love the character of Lexie. She was always wondering if she should text Trent, or if he felt the same. I felt like she was going crazy which in turn made me go crazy. I also felt like she just made up fake feelings for Alessandro just so she wouldn't feel anything for Trent because she was getting the cold shoulder from him. I wanted to shake her and say go home and tell the boy you love him.

This book is jam packed with tons of craziness but good craziness. I loved the ride the author put me on with Lexie. I felt like I really got a feel for what the characters were feeling and you don't normally have that in a book. A LITTLE TOO FAR had me feeling so many different emotions from laughter, to heartbreak, to joy and I loved every minute of it. I really loved this book and can't wait for more from Lisa Desrochers.

SUMMARY

Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it's more of a my–dad–happened–to–marry–&nda sh;woman–with–a–super–hot–son situation. But still, he's been her best friend and confidant for better part of the last few years...and is so off limits. It's a good thing she's leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can't seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to Confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt...and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy on the eyes deacon...only eight months away from becoming a priest.

As Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro's signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn't know what to think. She's torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn't want and the man she can't have. And she isn't sure how she can live with herself either way.
