In NOBODY'S HERO we get Karla and Adam's story. Their story goes back many years, the two meeting when Karla was only sixteen years old and running away from home. Years later she is still finding ways to be with Adam. Karla loved Adam all those years ago and still loves him to this day but Adam is running; running away from his past and continues to keeps Karla at arm's length. Yet the two make a deal; she will be his slave. Adam thinks to push Karla past her comfort zone and scare her away but he does not realize the strength of her feelings for him and the determination that Karla has.

Once again Kallypso Masters does a wonderful job of bringing her characters and their world to life. I am a big fan of this author and this series and cannot get enough. Each couple endears themselves to this reader and Adam and Karla are no different. I loved watching Karla and Adam discover their way. He is as stubborn as one can get but in the end we get to see what a good man that he truly is. Adam may not think he is anyone's hero but he proves just how wrong that is. Adam is laden down with so much guilt about things that happened in the past. I loved seeing Adam work through his pain and reach for his happiness. I enjoyed watching both Adam and Karla figure out their feelings and just where they want to go in their relationship. Both learn their own lessons in this book but one that they both learn together is that love is strong and will always find a way in and that they should always take any second chance that you are given.

Readers should also remember that this book is part of a series and should be read in order as well as the BDSM that is featured in their story. The scenes are hot and graphic but we see the love that the two have throughout this book. NOBODY'S HERO is another emotional and heartwarming read from this author. It had me laughing one minute and crying the next.
