Vivi McFadden is in distress when she calls her best friend and Sassy Belle, Blake O'Hara Heart, after Vivi believes she's killed her boyfriend, Lewis Heart. They were in a "meeting" at a sleazy motel in Tuscaloosa when Lewis appeared to die on the bed right beneath her. Unable to find Blake, Vivi calls Blake's husband and Lewis' brother, Harry Heart. The characters are quirky, but sincere, and find themselves examining their own lives, remembering who they were, who they've become and who they really want to be. The Sassy Belles are a group of strong Southern women who can always count on each other in a time of need. The plot is filled with one crisis after another, but nothing that some good Southern cooking and sweet tea can't fix. Beth Albright fills the pages with Southern colloquialisms that simply sing. Being a Southern belle myself, I laughed my way through every phrase. THE SASSY BELLES is a scandalous adventure you do not want to miss.
