NO WAY OUT grabs you from the first page and will have you
on the edge of your seat throughout the book. The main
characters can't let their guard down or the enemy will
pounce. NO WAY OUT is part of a series, but stands alone
just fine. It will make you want to read the others, too,
which is awesome if you love a good series. The Justice
Agency is a family of Private Investigators that takes on
pro bono cases.
In NO WAY OUT, the main character, Alyssa,
finds herself in need of a Private Investigator after she
is in the wrong place at the wrong time and overhears a
couple of dirty cops talking. As she is on the run, Cole
happens to find her and provides safety. It couldn't have
been played out any better. God certainly had a hand in
them finding each other.
Susan Sleeman does a wonderful job developing Cole and
Alyssa. They both have emotional baggage from their pasts,
they are flawed and readers are able to relate to them
easily. Alyssa's children in the story bring a little comic
relief to the story when most of it is dark and edgy. The
plot moves along at a great pace and all of the plot lines
are tied up nicely at the end.
There are some unexpected
twists to the story. Just when you think everything is
over, and you are on your way down from the climax, other
things creep up on you and you find yourself wide eyed with
your mouth open. I love stories about families and reading
about the other family members in The Justice Agency and
how they worked with one another was awesome. There is so
much respect and adoration. If you are looking for an
inspirational romantic suspense story that pulls you in
from the first page and never lets up to the end, I
recommend NO WAY OUT by Susan Sleeman.
Who can she trust?
Alyssa Wells has uncovered evidence that her police officer
husband was murdered by his partner—a dangerous claim in a
small town. After two tours in Iraq, protecting Alyssa and
her children shouldn't be a problem for private
investigator Cole Justice. Alyssa feels drawn to him, but
how can she trust anyone after everything she's been
through? Cole's sure his heart is closed off to love, but
Alyssa and her children seem to have found a way in. As the
killer draws closer, Alyssa realizes she's trusting Cole
with more than her safety.
