Inspirational Romance | Inspirational Mystery

Aspen Courtland is determined to find her twin brother Austin. He is now officially listed as dead after being declared MIA eight months ago while serving in Afghanistan. Going through government channels isn't working, but Aspen has ruffled a few feathers. Dane Markoski is an asset for the DIA who is commissioned to find Austin Courtland and return him to his commanding officer. He is planning on using Aspen and her tracking dog Talon to assist with this task. Talon was Austin's dog until Austin went missing. Aspen and Dane's worlds come together as they use each other for the same purpose. As they assemble their team, there are strong feelings between Aspen and Dane. He is determined not to use Aspen by any romantic means, but she is falling fast and hard for Dane. When they arrive in Djibouti, Africa, they meet the rest of their team and formulate a plan. They believe this is where Austin is hiding out. As they get further into their mission, they find they are not just the hunters, but are also being hunted. It's hard to know who can be trusted and who can't. Will Aspen and Dane find Austin? Is Dane really the person everyone believes him to be? TALON: COMBAT TRACKING TEAM is the second book in Ronie Kendig's A Breed Apart series. It is packed with action and suspense, black-ops missions and just the right touch of romance. This is a story about trust and overcoming your fears, about having courage and a purpose for your life. Kendig's characters are strong, smart and driven, and the inspirational touch lends warmth and strength to her characters, as well. The plot is captivating and intense. Flashbacks to Dane's childhood give insight into his character and why he is so determined to succeed in this mission, as his life comes full circle. If you're an animal lover, Talon will capture your heart and won't let go. He is as much affected by Austin's disappearance as Aspen. Put TALON: COMBAT TRACKING TEAM on your to-read list. You won't be disappointed.
