I only just started the Demon Trappers series a few months ago, even though the books have been out for years. I have to say that I definitely should not have waited so long. Not sure what had been holding me back. Maybe I thought they would be to young for me, but boy was I wrong! These books are a thrilling and energetic urban fantasy series that just happens to be marketed to young adults.
FORETOLD is the fourth and final book in the Demon Trappers series. This book is all about Beck, who just so happens to be my favorite character in this fantastic universe.
Let's face it: many of us have a thing for bad boys. Well, Beck certainly fits the bill with his deeply troubled past, and this book delves into that past in a deep and intense way. I think a lot of people will be shocked by what they read about Beck's past and it's certainly something to tune in for.
As much as I love the Good Old' Boy, Riley has always been one of my favorite teenage protagonists. She is certainly kick-ass and has such a great spirit about her. It has been quite a journey to see her development over the course of the series. She could possibly even give Buffy a run for her money!
It's very sad to see this story come to a close. I'm really hoping that Demon Trappers will be one of those series picked up for the next TV Show or film franchise, as it is would be amazing to see these excellent characters brought to life on the screen.
I definitely recommend you pick up all the books in this supernatural series by author Jana Oliver!
In the fourth Demon Trappers novel, Riley faces the final
battle for humanity and Beck's heartβand Hell is the least
of her problems.
Now that Rileyβs managed to (just barely) fend off
Armageddon, everythingβs changed. Well . . . most things.
After their passionate kiss before the big battle in the
cemetery, Beck is back to treating her like a little girl,
as if nothing ever happened. While sheβd love to just tell
him off and move on, Riley vowed to take care of Beck the
way heβs taken care of her since her fatherβs deathβbut
sheβs about to get a whole lot more than she bargained for.
When sheβs commissioned to go with Beck to his hometown and
help him care for his dying mother, they stumble too close
to a dark and murderous secret, one that Beck fears will
drive Riley away from him forever. As chaos breaks loose,
Riley may be Beck's only hope for redemption . . . and survival.
Meanwhile, up in Atlanta, itβs quickly becoming clear that
Heaven may have won a battle, but the war is far from over.
Riley and Beck face a stormy future, as Lucifer's
ex-right-hand-man, Sartael, proves himself to be more
resilient than anyone thought. He has Atlanta in his grip
and is about to begin a brutal war with the prince of Hell.
As the seconds tick down toward a final confrontation, it's
up to Riley and the man she loves to finally defeat their
old enemy, or lose everything they've fought for.
