Every few years, there comes an author whose work causes
such an excitement that fans flock together to discuss
their favorite hero, heroine, series or sex scene. Kristen
Ashley is one of these authors who has captured the hearts
of many with her passionate writing and to-die-for heroes
and fun heroines.
MYSTERY MAN is the first in the Dream Man series. Prepare
for some steam and suspense because Ashley provides both of
these in spades!
Gwendolyn Kidd is one lucky woman. For a year and a half,
she gets nightly visits from a mystery man. They engage in
smoking hot sex and then the sex god disappears into the
night without a trace.
However, when Gwen gets caught up in her sister's trouble,
this forces the mystery man who goes by the name of
Cabe "Hawk" Delgado to keep her safe during daylight. And
once Hawk makes an appearance, it's hard to keep the bossy,
straight-talking dream man chained. Hawk is testosterone
and then some.
Much of the reason why I enjoyed MYSTERY MAN so much is that
Ashley creates such interesting and hilarious dialogue
between her characters. When you put Gwen and Hawk
together, that's really where the magic happens. Ashley has
a knack for getting to the meat of the character and
bringing out the best (and worst) characteristics of each
and then showing readers how they can still work in a
relationship no matter how alpha the hero can be.
Ashley certainly delivers a thrill ride and I predict she
will continue to stir up a frenzy with future books to come.
Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot,
he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night
of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long
pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only
appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the
one, she just can't turn him away...
Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever
imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about
relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons
that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is
drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's
protective nature comes out full force. The problem is,
when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the
daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore....
