Romance

Brenna Burke has claustrophobia and is battling to travel on a train without panic attacks. In this Strangers on a Train miniseries the women and men thrown into close confines find romance, and Brenna is no exception. She rides the slow tourist train from New York to Niagara Falls, a four-day trip with plenty of stops and opportunities to sightsee. Only, every time Brenna steps off, the odds are good she won't get back on.

Reid Cooper has retired early from the NYPD after a few bullets caught his chest, one not being stopped by his body armour. He's taking a train ride to get accustomed to being a gentleman of leisure, and scope out the possibility of buying a guest house. He booked a berth on the train but due to double bookings, Brenna has the same berth and there are no spaces. Initially Brenna is indignant and then almost panicky when she finds herself in TIGHT QUARTERS with a large strange man, but he reassures her and tries to sort out the booking issue. No solution offers but to share however, and Brenna draws up a plethora of rules to help control the situation. Reid isn't much for rules anymore, so he just offers to stay out of her way as much as possible. In the night however it's Brenna who decides she could stand to be closer to her companion - but for how long?

This adult novella is a fun, hot read, light enough for bedtime yet with serious challenges for the heroine to overcome before she can get on and live her life, realise her ambitions. Samantha Hunter entices us to take this train journey, see the sights, sip the spicy wines, enjoy our lives while we're able. All aboard!

SUMMARY

Two hearts converge…until fear runs love off the rails. A Strangers on a Train Story In the years since a horrific car accident left her with a long list of phobias, Brenna Burke has overcome them all except one. Crippling claustrophobia—not a good trait for an aspiring travel writer. With an interview for her dream job looming, Brenna forces herself to board a train for a weekend tour through New York State…only to find her berth has been double booked. Retired NYPD detective Reid Cooper isn’t happy about the mix-up, or his attraction to his petite, sexy roommate. But as their up-close-and-personal weekend progresses, something remarkable happens. Being with Reid makes Brenna feel normal, unafraid of anything. After one passionate night, both are thinking beyond a mere weekend fling. But when Brenna’s last phobia pounces at the worst possible time, she could miss the last boarding call for happily ever after. Warning: This book contains a hot-to-the-touch hero and sizzling sex at high speeds.
