Malek Alexandre and his brothers are members of the Black Gryffons. His brother Drako has already found his true love and now it is Malek's turn. Lei is the woman he believes will be his salvation but the pain that Lei has suffered in her past is an obstacle that may not be so easily overcome. After having been forced for so long Lei finds it so much easier to become a Dom and never let another man force her to do things she does not want but Malek needs her submission and love more than anything. When evil threatens them all Lei is ready to give herself over to try and save them. She will not let her sister and the brothers come to harm if she can stop it in any way but Malek is ready and willing to fight for his love and will not let her go so easily.

DARKEST DESIRE gives us the second Alexandre brother's story. I loved reading Malek and Lei's story. Malek is a good man who loves with all his heart. Lei is a strong woman who is fighting to overcome her past and move forward. She longs to be free and enjoy herself but the nightmares of her past still dog her. When the two begin to find the love that is there between them another evil arrives and threatens not only Malek but also Rin and the rest of humanity. Not sure of who to trust Lei trusts only in her love for Malek and her sister. While she can be a strong woman there are times when Lei is a bit too emotional for me, she tends to break down in tears a lot. Her past trauma has really affected her more than we know. The love she begins to share with Malek makes for a great read. I loved seeing Lei finally get what she longs for. Tawny Taylor weaves a great story around the Alexandre brothers and their adversaries. I cannot wait for the last brother to find the love that he deserves.
