This most recent addition to the Mortal Instruments
series seems to be the
most well-rounded and most exciting book to date. CITY OF
LOST SOULS
expands the story on a much larger scale than you could
possibly imagine.
We get to see much more of the secondary characters and
gets tons of
back story, as well as learn more about the overall
mythology of the world
that Cassandra Clare has created.
The love story between Clary and Jace is the grandest of
all love stories in
the young adult world. They have literally battled against
evil on a daily
basis. Sometimes the evil even comes from within
themselves. They have
honestly had major trouble trying to be together. This is
the kind of love
story that people will remember for years and years to
come. I just can't
seem to get enough of them.
A major breakout character in this book is Simon. He is
really coming into
his own and becoming the man/supernatural that he was meant
to be. I
would not be disappointed at all if Clare decided to write
a spin-off series
based completely around Simon. There is still so much of
him left to
discover.
If you haven't already heard, these books are being made
into a series of
movies. The first film will be coming out sometime in 2013,
so you better
run out and get these books before then! The entire series
is phenomenal
but each book seems to get better and better.
Fans of Vampire Diaries, Buffy, or Twilight will love this
roller-coaster of a
supernatural story. I definitely recommend each and every
book, and I will
be anxiously awaiting the next book in the Mortal
Instruments series!This most recent addition to the
