Riley Baxter is in Hopewell, Louisiana, to persuade a
parole committee to keep the man in prison who killed her
parents in a car accident. As she runs from the room to get
some fresh air, she sees a very distraught teen pleading
with her mother. Riley is captivated by the family and
approaches them. She learns the father is in prison for a
museum burglary and the teen daughter, Jasmine, insists he
is innocent. She learns they lost their home and are
struggling to survive. Riley sees a great article in their
plight. She's a writer for a Southern magazine that would
love an article like this. It could be the break Riley has
been looking for in her career.
Riley and her brother Rafe are staying at Ardy Simpson's
home. Ardy's son, Hayden, and Rafe are close friends and
there is a family connection with Rafe's fiancée. Hayden
Simpson is the police commissioner in this small Louisiana
town. During a family dinner with these friends, he is
called to fish a body out of the bayou that's hooked in a
gator line. His investigation leads him on an interesting
trail of managed health care fraud and a series of untimely
deaths. The more he digs, the worse things get.
Riley does some more investigating on the plight of the
family she met at the penitentiary and decides to write a
series of articles for her magazine. Her editor loves her
first article and can't wait to get the next installment.
But her further investigations and subsequent articles make
someone angry. A sniper takes a shot at Riley one evening
on her way back to Ardy's house. He came within an inch of
killing her. Who is trying to silence her plea for this
family, and why?
To WRITE A WRONG is the second book in Robin
Caroll's Justice Seekers series. The story will hook
you from the first page and won't let go. Both
investigations are intricately woven together with stellar
writing and excellent character development. This is a
riveting thriller about justice and forgiveness. A bit of
romance and a lot of inspiration make this a great read.
In Angola State Penitentiary, a man is serving time for a

help prove her father's innocence.
At the same time, Hayden Simpson has his hands full with
keeping his little sister in line, worrying about his job
as Police Commissioner, and dealing with his past emotional
baggage. The last thing he needs is someone blowing the lid
off his emotional bucket. But when Riley Baxter storms into
his life, struggling to understand why God would let bad
things happen to good people, Hayden has no choice but to
follow his heart.
Now, Riley and Hayden must work together to uncover the
truth of the past . . . before someone shuts Riley up for
good.
