Suspense

Lorrayne Lobato, Denver Detective thought she saw the dark side of human behavior, but a satanic cult is proving her wrong. Their victims....innocent children.

The nightmare begins when the first victim, Stephen Miller is found. His tortured body is found in an abandoned building in Northwest Denver. His naked body bound with a white star drawn around the body. He had been wanted for questioning in the connection to the murder of his five year old step-daughter Christina.

The body of kenneth Collins is found by housekeeping in a motel room on Sante Fe Drive. Police wanted Kenneth Collins for molesting his daughter, Jennifer. Kenneth's body was found in the same manner as Stephen's body. Tortured, bound, and each had a pentagram tattooed on their chest.

After the second body turns up, police are beginning to think serial killer. Now partnered with her husband, Ernest, Lorrayne is determined to find the killer. To complicate the case even further, Lorrayne suspects that someone, the press named the Angel of Mourning, is targeting and torturing these individuals.

The next body is Jason Thompson. The 25 yr old had served 4 years out of 10 for molesting and torturing his 6 yr old neice. He was also tortured and had a pentagram tattoo on his chest. Now

This is Lorrayne's most challenging case ever. She needs to track down not only the children's killers, but also the killer of these killers...the Angel of Mourning as well. When two children are abducted from a local day care center, the race is on to find them before anything happens to them.

Theodore Marquez write a gripping tale that will have you sucked in from the discovery of the first body!

SUMMARY

Amid winter’s chill, Denver Detective Lorrayne Lobato is learning a harsh lesson: Not all killers are created equal. She thought she’d seen all of the dark side of human behavior, but a satanic cult is proving her wrong when members target the most innocent victims. The nightmare begins when Stephen Miller’s tortured body is found in an open field. Police had been looking to question him in connection with the murder of his five-year-old daughter, Christina. After the body of a second victim, Kenneth Collins, turns up, police begin to suspect a serial murderer. Police wanted Collins for molesting his daughter, Jennifer. The same methods of torture were used on both men, and each victim had a pentagram tattooed on his chest. Encouraged by her husband, Ernest, also a Denver detective, and determined to overcome her overbearing, sexist superior, Lieutenant Copeland, Lobato vows to root out the evil cultists responsible for molesting and murdering the city’s children. Copeland, the Supervisor of the Major Crimes Unit, continuously hounds her for answers involving the case, making it obvious that he doesn’t feel a female is capable of solving the murders.
