Maggie Gerber lives in the small town of St. Stanley, VA. She and her friends have formed a group called the Good Buy Girls. They know how to shop. When one of their friends is arrested for murder, Maggie will do what she can to clear Claire's name. It doesn't help that the man was found in the library where Claire works. He was stabbed with Claire's cake knife and she had previously dated the man.
Maggie knows Claire is innocent. She has to prove it to show Sam Collins, her old flame and the new town sheriff. Maggie's investigation will lead her into a danger she couldn't have envisioned when she started her quest.
Maggie will also learn that Sam was innocent of breaking her heat. Maggie was set up so she would believe that Sam was cheating on her. Can she move past the hurt and take a shot at a new life?
Filled with amusing situations and entertaining characters, this was a cozy that I would highly recommend.
Maggie Gerber-one of the founding members of the Good Buy Birls-loves her quiet life in St. Stanley, Virginia. But all that changes when Sam Collins, her old flame, moves back to town as the new sheriff. On top of that, Claire Freemont, a librarian and the newest member of the Good Buy Girls, starts acting utterly strange. When Maggie goes to visit her the next day at the library, she finds the body of a very dead man. Turns out the man is someone from Claire's past. As the handsome new sheriff zeroes in on Claire, it's up to Maggie and the rest of the Good Buy Girls to use their bargain-hunting skills to hunt a killer-while making sure they don't pay too much in the process...
