Romance Suspense

Dr. Lucy Merritt knows all about pain, losing her parents who were CIA operatives as a child made her want to live a normal comfortable life and she does, restoring old manuscripts. Her plans did not include returning to the Himalayn Kingdom of Nhala working for the CIA to uncover a terrorism plot against her country.

U. S. army Captain Mike Shafer is on his last training mission before returning home to take over the family business when he's pulled from the mission and assigned to accompany Lucy. There objective is to find a flash drive in the Himalayn mountains that contains a plague which could wipe out an entire city or town in minutes. Because of her relationship with the princess of Nhala, Lucy is allowed to return to the palace to authenticate a manuscript not knowing someone else has an agenda of their own in regards to Nhala. Lucy is nothing but a pawn.

Mike is constantly surprised by Lucy's survival techniques having believed her to be an academic nerd despite her beauty. Pretending to be lovers is no hardship for either of them since the attraction has been there from their first meeting but more people are dying gruesomely as the product is tested and they are running out of time. Will they have the courage to accept the ultimate sacrifice to save the world from a mad man?

Bio-terrorism and an unforgettable couple captures a reader's imagination in this riveting romantic thriller that's sure to garner Ms. Jennings a whole new host of fans eagerly awaiting more from an author who knows her stuff.

SUMMARY

A LIFE DESTROYED
Nobody knows better than Lucy Merritt what duty can cost. Her CIA operative parents gave their lives for a mission in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nhala, and as a result, Lucy was determined to make a safe and comfortable life for herself, becoming an expert restorer of manuscripts.

A LIFE OF SERVICE
Captain Mike Shafer, Tenth Mountain Division, US Army, is dedicated to keeping his country safe. Intel from a dead CIA operative in Nhala points to a deadly threat that could wipe out entire populations. When Lucy is called to Nhala to restore the manuscript of an ancient prophesy, it’s his chance to stop the threat cold. He is ready and willing to put himself on the firing line—only not with the beautiful woman who’s been assigned to him. No matter how smart she is, she’s a tempting distraction.

A LIFE REBORN
Now Mike and Lucy must learn to work together to stop this global threat. Mike thought he understood courage, but when she does the bravest thing he’s ever seen, he vows to carry a badly wounded Lucy across a frozen wasteland to save this magnificent woman—and the world.
