For years Felicia Locke has resisted her feelings for Knox, now that his vampire wife is dead Knox refuses to leave Felicia alone. For too many years they have ignored the fire which blazes between them whenever they near one another. Felicia has been able to hold onto her values because Knox wouldn't push her, all that has changed and he's coming at her with all that he has. It does not help that Felicia's boss has put together a special team consisting of humans and others and Knox is their leader. Knox agreed to accept this job because of the promise of an antidote which can save his people and his other condition was that Felicia becomes a part of the team. Felicia knows what this antidote can do for the vampires so she accepts the assignment despite knowing that Knox is planning an all out war on her senses.

A compelling story with a fresh take on vampires and other paranormal groups. I found CHOSEN BY BLOOD to have brought something new and different to the vampire genre. Ms. DePaul creates a fascinating tale filled with hot sensuality and a cast of diverse characters. While I enjoyed CHOSEN BY BLOOD, the building of this otherworld made the story drag in places although I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
