For 10 years, Drako Alexandre has been the leader of the Black Gryffons destined to protect the world by keeping the secret safe. It is now time for Drako and his brothers to take a wife and produce children of their own to preserve the future of the Black Gryffons. The only problem is that Drako loves his life and refuses to give it up for a wife like his own father has done. Thankfully Drako has the perfect plan; convince Rin Mitchell, a beauty that brings out an unexplainable dark hunger in him to marry him even though they have only really met briefly once. Drako can only hope that she is willing to agree to his terms. Time is quickly running out.
Rin Michell thought she escaped the dark and beautiful Drako Alexandre the night before when her best friend went home with him. To be honest, Rin has more worries than what Drako wants from her. Rin's malicious mother has sold Rin's sister to a sex slave trader months ago. Rin has finally caught up with the man in charge but he wants money she doesn't have to buy her sister back. Drako Alexandre's wild offer of marriage on his terms, no strings, only children comes at the perfect time for Rin to save her sister and ask for a few conditions herself.
Tawny Taylors' DARKEST FIRE has sensual and intriguing characters but I found the flow from scene to scene to be choppy and at times confusing. Love the idea though.
