Jazz Lenox knows full well the consequences that stem from making bad choices and acting on them. She certainly has her fair share of regrettable mistakes, and she wants to make the most of her future. While jogging in the park, Jazz sees a slice of red hair that stops her in her tracks. She notices that there are two children with the glorious red locks, and she cannot help but wonder if they could be the twins that she gave up for adoption years ago. She has no right to be in their lives, but their Uncle Matt seems to want her in his. She knows that he will push her away if he knew the truth of her past. However, she admits that he makes her forget all the reasons why they should not be together. Can she push away his advances? Or can she fit into their lives without revealing the truth?
Matt Caminetti loves nothing more than taking his niece and nephew to the park. Since his passion is soccer, he generally helps them with their game. He thought that he had a pretty complete life until he meets a stranger in the park. Jazz leaves quite an impression on him, and he is determined to convince her to give him a chance. However, it seems that any time he makes some progress, something happens to take them back to square one. She fits right in with his family, and he is always encouraging her to strive for her dreams, but she continues to push his advances back at him. He always has a plan, and he does not understand where he is going wrong. How can he win her? What is he missing?
Darlene Gardner pens a perfectly engaging romance. She creates characters with substance by giving them problems and heartaches and making it easier for the readers to understand them. Jazz is far from perfect, and she believes everyone sees her flaws and that she is not worthy to have her dreams fulfilled. Matt sees her in a different light, and he knows she deserves better than her current circumstances. Theirs is a convoluted journey with many stops along the way. I enjoyed being lost in a tale of two strong minded people who could not be any more different finding their way into love. TWICE THE CHANCE takes a huge leap of faith in the hopes that past mistakes and failures are erased when seen through the eyes of love. Ms. Gardner crafts magnificent romances, and this is another fantastic read.
Jazz Lenox had her reasons for giving up her babies for
adoption. So she can't burst into their lives after eight
years. Yet there's no doubt these kids are hers. No one
could mistake that unique hair.
She knows she should walk away. Especially when she meets
the twins' uncleβsexy, shoot-from-the-hip Matt Caminetti.
But how does she leave a man who's so persistentβ¦and so
ruggedly appealing? Most surprising of all, Matt believes in
her. Believes in them. A future together means coming clean
about her past. All of it. It's the only way to find out if
she really has a second shot at the life she's always wantedβ¦.
