Cameron and Mark are lovers looking to add a little bit of
spice to their relationship. They head to Anguilla for a
vacation with the idea that a fling with a sexy stranger may
be exactly what they need. As soon as they meet Philip,
they know he is the one they want. Philip is there with
some classmates celebrating his recent graduation, and upon
meeting the attractive couple he decides to have one last
night of fun before settling down at his dad's law firm.
But when Cameron delivers a spanking to Philip during their
lovemaking, Philip is surprised by the act...and how much he
likes it. The three men return to their regular lives, but
none of them can stop thinking about that night. They will
each have to face their personal demons though if they want
to find the happiness they experienced for that brief time
in paradise.
PARASIDE FOUND by Hunter Raines is a fun and sexy story of
m/m/m ménage. The sex scenes are super hot and there are
plenty of them. (Be forewarned that the sex scenes focus on
the dominant/submissive relationship, and although they are
not hardcore if you don't like that genre then this probably
isn't the book for you.) In addition to great sex, Raines
depicts likeable characters and intriguing personal
relationships. The fact that there are three people
involved in the dom/sub relationship makes for a very
interesting story, especially since each man has a different
role and point of view. Cameron is an experienced top,
Philip is a natural bottom, and Mark struggles to find his
place in this world. Although the three could naturally
bond over their instant connection, they are each internally
conflicted about who they are and what they want. Cameron
gave up the dom/sub game when he met Mark, Philip decided to
give up the gay life altogether to fit in at his dad's law
firm, and Mark doesn't understand how he can be
simultaneously jealous and aroused by the connection between
the other two men. These conflicts give the story a lot of
substance and make it more than just hot sex scenes between
three sexy men. There is also a very clear lesson that you
can't be happy unless you accept yourself for who you are.
My one complaint about the story is that it is a little too
short. It is novella length, and I think it could easily
have been fleshed out a bit more. I would have liked to see
a little more of the trio struggling with their personal
issues and the inevitable jealously that a ménage stirs up.
Despite the short length, I would definitely recommend
Paradise Found to anyone who enjoys the gay romance, ménage,
or dom/sub genres.
Paradise is just an illusion...
Or so Philip thinks as he vacations on exotic Anguilla. He
should be celebrating the end of law school and the start of
his successful career, but he's tired of living a lie for
his family's sake. For just one night, he lets down his
guard with two men he thinks he'll never see again.
He isn't the only one with secrets. For years, Cameron Drake
has suppressed his need for dominance, afraid of hurting his
lover, Mark Wilder. But when Cameron's hand meets Philip's
ass, there's no more pretending. Mark can't face his
conflicting feelings about the ménage; does Cameron want
more than Mark can give?
The three of them may have been perfect together but
consequences follow them back to their real lives. Will
their desire for another encounter shatter the illusions
they've built to protect themselves or clear the obstacles
to paradise?
