Mia Luchese's family is a vampire-hunting family -- at least they used to be. Not that she believes in the supernatural. She's just an average girl. Until she's nearly attacked by and rescued from a real, honest-to-God vampire. She's saved by her former lover, Colin Foxe, a SWAT team leader with the police department.

Due to scientific discoveries by his clan, Colin is able to hold down a regular job. Just like a human. Which he's not. He's also a vampire. He likes Mia a lot -- for a human. But he can't get serious about her. He'll want to marry a vampire when he's ready to settle down.

After the attack, Mia goes to her reclusive grandfather to learn how to hunt vampires and mistakenly agrees to help him capture one for his so-called clinic, so it can be studied. Though she and Colin have become lovers again, Colin is still holding out for a vampire mate -- that is, until the leader of his clan learns about them and forces them into a marriage...vampire style.

I really enjoyed I HUNGER FOR YOU, the third in Ms. Sizemore's Prime series. Mia is easy to identify with, and I enjoyed watching Colin struggle with the passion and jealousy he didn't want to feel for Mia. Macho may not be politically correct, but it's perfect for Colin and his group of Primes. A good read.
