Jace falls in love with Miri in a forbidden marriage between

captivity.
But Miri has been cruelly abused and experimented upon by

McCarty weaves JACE and Miri's story of healing, passion and
love with well written prose and dialogue into a credible
tale. I loved the story and believe it to be one of her
best in the series!
