Simon Northam, the Duke of Hurtsgrove, is a wizard and a
member of the Doomsday Brethren. The wizards of the
Doomsday Brethren have been using as many resources as they
can find against the evil wizard Mathias d'Arc without much
luck. New information comes to light about Mathias needing
an Untouchable, a human who weakens magic, to resurrect
Morgan le Fey.
Apparently, Simon has been in touch with an Untouchable
recently. With Simon's brother's wedding coming up, there
are only a select few who can be the Untouchable. As the
Brethren search the wedding guests, Simon realizes two
things; not only is his brother's fiancée the Untouchable,
but she appears to be Simon's mate, which makes the
situation even more impossible. Simon must keep Mathias
from getting to the Untouchable, which means postponing the
wedding and taking her to a secluded location -- while
remembering she belongs to his brother.
Felicia Safford is taken off guard when, after six years of
friendship, Mason Northam asks her to marry him. Felicia
has never known love and watching her sister destroyed by
love makes Mason's proposal the safest solution to protect
her heart. Felicia isn't ready for the jolt of desire she
experiences when she touches Mason's brother, Simon.
Felicia decides to ignore the strange feeling as she
prepares for her wedding day. Felicia is in for another
shock when Simon arrives before the wedding claiming she's
in grave danger and must leave with him to save her life.
Felicia's special ability allows her to know that what he
says is true, but she is confused as to why Simon and his
friends are the only ones able to protect her. Felicia must
find a way to trust these strangers, while also keeping her
heart safe from Simon, as they race against time to save
the world from a mad man.

Shayla Black and once again the reader is swept away
into a world of danger and magic as the characters grow and
the plot thickens. A great series and a wonderful read!
