This short book packs a punch. Fast paced and full of emotion, this story takes the characters on an emotional ride. As Sydney Chase tries to give herself a fun night out, she finds herself in trouble. Trouble with a capital R and a beautiful French accent. One night, Raimond finds himself drawn to a woman he sees at his club. Never one to mix business and pleasure, he realizes that Sydney is more than just a quick roll in the hay. As the two begin a tentative relationship, they must decide if it will go past the instant attraction they feel for each other. Will Raimond's secret tear them apart or can Sydney love him no matter what?
Sydney is a very strong woman who goes through so much, and in the process endears herself to the reader. Raimond is a patient man who finds what he wants and is willing to fight for it. Raimond and Sydney must deal with their instant attraction, as well as outside forces trying to separate them. They work well together and make a great couple. I enjoyed watching their relationship bloom through all of the ordeals.
If you are a fan of paranormal romance, this is a book that you may want to check out. The characters are full of emotion, and the author does a nice job with the shifter part of the story; making the story line plausible and interesting. THE PANTHER'S LAIR is fast paced and enjoyable.
Sydney Chase may have sworn off relationships-but she
still has needs. So she heads to the Panther's Lair in
search of sex: no strings, no emotions. The club owner,
dark, mysterious Raimond Decoudreau, is exactly what she's
looking for-his French accent alone makes her hot.
