SHADO Operative Blaze Kelly thought he'd found the most beautiful woman to spend the rest of his life with. Emma Foster is perfect for him; the only hurdle he faces is convincing her that she is a natural submissive, and as a Dom, he will take care of her. Unfortunately, Emma doesn't believe in his lifestyle, telling Blaze that they are over. To ease the pain in his heart, Blaze takes solace in his club, where Emma witnesses a scene, leaving upset without allowing Blaze to explain what was going on. Since both Blaze and Emma work for SHADO, Blaze immerses himself in dangerous missions, like the one leaving Blaze wounded and his employer and friend dodging assassins. Blaze and Emma must put their differences aside to save the life of one of their own and maybe find a second chance for themselves.
Emma Foster's values are straightforward and vanilla compared to what her lover, Blaze Kelly, is offering and willing to do to her. The earth-shattering love she feels for him is on shaky ground, but she is willing to try out his world, until she witnesses a scene that not only fascinates Emma but royally pisses her off and breaks her heart. Emma does the only thing she can; run and avoid Blaze at all cost which includes at work. Emma's job at SHADO is as a makeup and disguise artist keeping her behind the scenes instead of in the field. Blaze getting injured shatters all of her will, especially as she is to work with him and submit to him as an undercover agent to find the traitor who is working to destroy them all.
Jo Davis creates a masterpiece about danger, action, lost love and new beginnings with a little bondage on the side. Yum! Very hot read!
