This book contains three short stories written by Emma Wildes, each one telling a different story about a highlander and his heroine and their adventures. Will these women capture the men's hearts or will they be stubborn and loose their chances at a happy ever after?

In the first story Ian McCray kidnaps Lady Leanna Arlington. Ian is looking to use her as a bargaining tool to free his Uncle. Little does Ian know but Lady Leanna is not happy and the man she is to marry is very cruel. From the minute he lays eyes on her Ian is taken with Leanna and as time goes by he finds himself falling for her. Leanna not only sees her chance to get away from the cruel man she is betrothed to but a chance at true love as well. Leanna is a smart woman that takes what life throws in her path. Ian is a great alpha male who loves with his whole heart and is willing to fight for what he wants. The love that these two find was a great read.

The second story tells us about Robbie and Julia. Julia is running from an engagement to a man she believes killed her family. She confides in Robbie and asks him to marry her instead. Once she marries she will inherit more than enough to rebuild his shipping fleet. As Robbie and Julia agree to a marriage of convenience they find themselves falling for each other. All is not what it looks like, Adain is not the killer Julia thinks he is and the real killer has come to wreak havoc on them all. With its twist and turns this story was a quick and interesting read. It was nice to watch Robbie and Julia find love and fight to keep it.

The last story is about Adain and Lady Gillian. While traveling with her sick uncle Gillian is set upon by thieves Adain comes to her rescue. Soon Gillian must ask Adain to take her to the fiancée that her uncle has given her to. When he hears who that is Adain refuses to take her to such a despicable man, a man on the hunt for Gillian and not about to give up. From the very beginning Gillian and Adain find themselves attracted to each other. Adain fears to show his emotions since the last time he did he lost the woman he loved but Gillian loves him enough to fight for their love. Are they strong enough to defeat the enemy? This was a wonderful story of finding love and the fight to keep it. Out of the three stories this one would be my favorite. True love is a wonderful gift that very few find and it should not be wasted.

SEDUCING THE HIGHLANDER was a fast paced and interesting read. All three stories connected with some characters making it a nice read. As you move on to the next story instead of wondering you get to see what happens to the other characters. Emma Wildes pulls the reader into the rugged world of highlanders and doesn't let go. As this was my first time reading this author this was a nice introduction for me.
