Mindy Menlove wants no reminders of her deceased fiancé and
her foolish weakness along with apparently a harem of
others for a man in a kilt. She most assuredly does not
want his ancestral Scottish castle complete with kilted
MacNeil ghosts. She just wants to sell the home and move
to someplace warm. Unfortunately, the ghosts have other
ideas. They want their castle returned stone by stone to
its original soil on Barra, and they will haunt her until
she complies. She takes on the task of returning the
castle to Scotland where she knows she will come face to
face with Bran of Barra, the chieftain who originally built
the castle. She has seen him before, but on his own turf
he is so much more substantial and a lot harder to resist.
Will she be able to keep her wits about her and not melt at
the sexy highlander? Or is he too tempting to resist?
Bran MacNeil of Barra lives life to the fullest even though
his ended seven hundred years ago. He still holds nightly
festivities in his hall where he provides food and
entertainment for his guest's pleasure. When he begins
seeing a woman from modern times, he knows that he is in
trouble. He is well aware of the dangers American women
possess as many of his ghosts friends have fallen prey to
them. He does not want to be added to that list, but he
may not have much of a choice. When the woman comes to
Barra's shores to rebuild his castle, he cannot resist her
charms. However, she seems to be adamant of resisting
his. Can he persuade her to change her mind? Or will he
be forced to fight the attraction on his end?
Allie Mackay gears us up for another hauntingly sexy
Scottish romp. She is a master at penning magical tales of
love across the ages, and this tale certainly is another
gem. It is endearing to watch Mindy, who despises all
things Scottish, succumb to the allure of Bran, a warrior
ghost with MacNeil charm in abundance. We visit with a few
old friends, and the new ghosts add a lively dimension to
this grand story. SOME LIKE IT KILTED lauds scrumptious
highlanders and spirited women to weave an entrancing
romance. I thoroughly enjoy Ms. Mackay's work, and look
forward to the next grand adventure.
Mindy
Menlove lives in a castle that was transported
stone-by-stone from Scotland. But when her fiancé dies in
scandal and Mindy decides to sell the gloomy estate, her
plans unravel. She must travel to the Hebrides, where she's
confronted by the castle's original builder-who happens to
be maddeningly irresistible and seven hundred years young.
Bran of Barra was a legendary chieftain. Since then
he's enjoyed his ghostly pleasures, until Mindy's appearance
disrupts them. Now, if the roguish Bran doesn't change
Mindy's mind about his bonny homeland-and himself-neither of
them will ever find any peace.
