Brody Brown is loving life; his tattoo shop is making a profit, his siblings are successful in their own ventures, and spring is around the corner, which means riding his Harley the long way home. Since he was 17, Brody has been the "parent" for his brother and sister, the rock of the family putting all of his needs on the back burner. He is not looking for a relationship with a woman; his friends and family are enough for him. Meeting his new neighbor, Elise Sorenson, and her daughter is a great bonus to his life. There is something about Elise that calls to him, and he's surprised how easy it is to be around her. She understands his need to not feel responsible for anyone, yet being friends with benefits is sounding pretty good.
Elise Sorenson is unable to dance like she was born to do because of her past. She moves across country to find stability for both herself and her daughter. Her determination to stay focused with starting their new life is all for her daughter, but having a sexy neighbor who's nice to look at is a reminder that she is still a woman with needs regardless of her tragic past. Meeting Brody and the people he keeps close might be exactly what she needs to begin to feel normal again. Hopefully, she can begin to feel comfortable enough to let him get close to both of them.
This is the second book in this series and it has the same warm family element as the first one with enough chemistry to literally scorch the pages off the spine. I refused to put it down!
