Romance Paranormal

Catherine Marais comes from an interesting set of ancestors, and she has fully embraced her family's legacy as werewolf hunters. She is well aware of the hazards of the job as her father was killed by one of the despicable creatures. Catherine has worked hard to become a formidable hunter and the werewolves are right to fear her. Unfortunately during a hunt, an injured wolf gets away, and her description is passed through the werewolf ranks. Now wolves are out for her blood. Will she be able to outsmart and outman them this time? Or will the sheer numbers of beasts out for revenge overwhelm her?

Ian Morgan has finally found a woman he wants to spend several lifetimes with, and he is confident that Catherine feels the same about him. Now if he can only tempt her to join him in eternity as a vampire. He is well aware of her obligations, and being nocturnal will not change them. In fact, her added strength will be a bonus. Unfortunately, it seems that the dreadful werewolves have gained some ability to strategize as not only is Catherine a target, but her niece is as well. Will a team of hunters, vampires, and humans be able to regain their loved ones? Will Ian lose another woman he would have loved forever?

Melina Morel proves once again that she adds an exciting dimension to the paranormal romance genre. Her stories include many different types of creatures, and they for the most part live in harmony or ignorance of the other groups. I was once again captured by her writing and lured in to a fabulous tale. It was fascinating to have this detailed glimpse into Catherine's life and to understand the choices and trial that she faces and deals with daily. Ian seems to be the perfect supporting companion, and we do get to understand him a little better. SMOLDER sizzles with romance, tingles with intrigue, and takes the reader for a thrilling ride.
