Fantasy Urban | Romance Paranormal

Sir Rodney, ruler of the Fae out of New Orleans, is worried. Fae magick is under attack. Before Desidera, a Phoenix dancer, can bring him evidence of the conspiracy, she dies under mysterious conditions. Sasha plans to have the time of her life for her 25th birthday at the Midsummer Night's Ball. Her excitement comes to a sudden halt when Sir Rodney asks for her silent help without the help of the government in solving the death. The phoenix women did not return from the fire, rather the symbol remains in their cremated ash. She investigates the scene and finds a strange symbol written into the ashes. Before she can take proof of it, it crumbles. Working off memory, she finds it is a curse. Her only other clue is a strange feral were scent. A second death leads them to the Blood Oasis and baron Montague, vampires. How do they expect to find answers, when their key witness, Sir Rodney, is playing it close to his cuffs? He is forced to admit it is sorcery. The citizens of New Orleans remark on a fantasy convention because of the people in costume. No luck. This is how they really look. The magic of their kind is fading. It is not safe for them. It seems the only hope Sir Rodney has is by looking to his enemies. Who is doing it? The Seelies, the unfairies, the vampires? Until Sasha and Hunter can wash off the effects in the shadow lands, nobody is immune from the contaminant. To make matters worse, Shogun, Hunter's brother, returns. Nobody's will is immune from the ill effects and their problems are compounded. She is torn. In her human form she has chosen her mate, but in her wolf form, her nature wants combat. The curse battles the two brothers against each other in claiming her as their mate. In CURSED TO DEATH, L.A. Banks returns her favorite characters to New Orleans and the battle resumes. Her novel starts with a bang and continues on. A novel you can't put down until the end. I look forward to her next.
