Needing a replacement groom for her video, Kay Aaronson is unprepared when good-looking Rob Dalton shows up for the job. While the video shoot progresses, Kay has a problem with the last scene. Standing in for the bride, she demonstrates what she's looking for. And with a single kiss, both Kay and Rob know that if relationships were based on chemistry alone, they'd fit exceptionally well with each other. When the video is completed and the crew leaves, Kay stays behind to tie up some loose ends. And she's more than willing to spend her last hours in Wisconsin exploring that chemistry further. Rob, on the other hand, is not.
Once thinking he had it all -- a wife and the perfect career -- Rob was devastated when his wife left him, and he discovered his perfect job was not so perfect. Taking the summer off in his hometown in Wisconsin, Rob serves on the committee for Bliss House, trying to put his life back in perspective. The kiss he shared with Kay doesn't make sense, since they come from two different worlds.
When Kay is asked to use her talents to promote Bliss House, she can't refuse. Rob, however, has plenty to say about it. Then he's asked to show her around town to help her perform her job better. The more time they spend together, the more they learn each other's secrets. Rob is determined to help Kay with hers, and they agree to be together, for the moment. Then Kay learns Rob's secret and attempts to pull away. She realizes that he has to do the right thing, or he wouldn't be Rob. She has to convince him that they really do belong together, even if they are very different.
LEAST LIKELY WEDDING? is the third book in a series. A great weekend book that has every element needed to keep you interested. I needed a tissue a couple of times and had a few laughs. I liked this story a lot.
Native New Yorker β and filmmaker β Kay Aaronson felt
displaced enough just being in tiny Tobias, Wisconsin. But
when her star actor β her "groom" β stalked off the set,
she needed a replacement, ASAP. Enter Rob Dalton.β¦
Hmm β it appeared her new groom was a quick study. So
quick, in fact, that Kay found herself in a fiery lip-lock
with him before either of them knew what they were doing.
And now it seemed the entire town had decided that
Kay's "temporary" groom should become more permanentβ¦no
matter what Rob and Kay had to say about it!
