Romance Paranormal | Romance Series | Romance Suspense

Raised by her father, Kyra's childhood was made up of cons and scams instead of school and friends, until a casino owner decides her father needs to die after winning big at the tables. Kyra pulls one of her biggest jobs getting revenge by humiliating the man who murdered her father; now she is on the run living off her creativity. Her unique ability to steal a person's best talent by just touching them is keeping her in the money. But it is a lonely existence, until she meets a drifter she's strongly attracted to physically. Kyra attempts to ditch him, afraid she is getting too attached, but he turns up again. To her surprise, she asks him to join her as she travels across the country to safety.

As an assassin, Reyes is the best at what he does; he has no mercy, yet he chooses his targets with care. His most recent mark apparently murdered her own father after he cheated her out of her cut of their spoils. He finally tracks her down after a considerable amount of time, which is a miracle, since she flies under the radar and off the grid. Watching her work is amazing, she is very talented at scamming her marks with skill and finesse. Unfortunately, her time is marked with death. His first objective is to gain her trust, to get close enough to complete the job he is hired to do. Yet the closer he gets to Kyra, the more he feels; and the more he feels, the bigger his regret. Not good for a man in his profession.

Ava Gray writes a powerful and thrilling story with murder, humor, betrayal, love and hot steamy sex. I didn't want the story to end. I am definitely addicted.

SUMMARY

A beautiful fugitive—wanted dead or alive.
Kyra is a con woman and a particular kind of thief. She steals with a touch, but she only takes one thing: her target’s strongest skill. Which means she can be a fighter, an athlete, a musician, an artist — anything she wants…for a limited time.

Heartbroken, she turns her gift toward avenging her father’s murder; with deadly patience, Kyra works her way into casino owner Gerard Serrano’s inner circle. After pulling off the ultimate con, she flees with his money and his pride.

A hit man who never misses the mark.

Reyes has nothing but his work. Pity for Kyra, he’s the best and mercy never sways him once he takes a job. He’s been hired to find out where Kyra hid the cash — and bring her back to face Serrano’s “justice.” Dead will do, if he can’t locate the loot. He’s never failed to complete a contract, but Kyra tempts him with her fierce heat and her outlaw heart. So Reyes has a hell of a choice: forsake his word or kill the woman he might love.
