It seems like every time there is a wedding that involves Eli Murdoch and Tara Swenson they end up sleeping together. It leaves all their surrounding friends wondering if the two of them will ever admit their true feelings for each other and get married themselves.
Tara Swenson fell in love with Eli Murdoch the first time she saw him wearing his ROTC uniform in high school. She had just moved to town and was hoping that this time her mother would stick to one place to allow her to graduate high school with students she actually knew and liked. Now years later she has yet to tell Eli how she feels about him. The first wedding they both attended was the first time they had slept together. It had been absolutely wonderful for her. Then the second wedding came and they slept together again. Still no feelings were exchanged, the next day Eli left to go back to training. Now that a third wedding was happening and she knew Eli would be there, she was determined not to let him phase her or to sleep with him.
Within in minutes of seeing Tara, Eli felt the same tug he had felt a few years back during the first wedding they had slept together. He was in love with her and she scared the hell out of him. Eli was determined to keep his distance from Tara, get through the wedding then get back to training. But after the rehearsal he asks Tara for a ride home, they end up at her house and in bed together. Before the end of the weekend will they put their fears aside and finally talk about how they feel or will Eli run again?
Another great story from Jennifer LaBrecque, she never seizes to surprise me. Her writing style is one of a kind and one I have grown to love. She has spoiled me, I will say that when I read another author I usually compare them to LaBrecque's writing style...doesn't come close. I would read TRIPLE THREAT before reading RIPPED! Although it doesn't matter you won't be lost if you read RIPPED! first. Both books are sure to smolder those hot summer nights.
